1. Agreement to these Terms
By creating an account, accessing Chirp, or using any Chirp service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you use Chirp for an organization, server, team, school, business or other group, you represent that you are authorized to do so.
If you do not agree, do not use Chirp. Additional terms may apply to a specific feature. For example, Chirp Remote Desktop may also present feature-specific terms. If additional terms conflict with these Terms for that feature, the more specific terms control for that feature.
2. What Chirp includes
“Chirp” and the “Services” include the Chirp website, account and dashboard, Browse, Games or Work, Chirp Chat, Chirp AI, Chirp Remote Desktop, voice or video calls, screen sharing, profiles, Chirp Bios, servers, forums, direct messages, friends, uploads, notifications, integrations, virtual currency and shops, and related features we make available.
Features can change, move, be renamed, enter or leave beta, or become unavailable. Some features can have separate limits, eligibility requirements, device requirements, paid tiers or geographic availability.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must meet the minimum age required by applicable law to use Chirp. You may not create or use an account if applicable law does not permit you to use the Services.
You are responsible for your account, password, passkeys, two-factor authentication, recovery codes, linked devices and sessions. Do not share credentials or allow another person to impersonate you. Tell us promptly if you believe your account or a registered device has been compromised.
Account information must be reasonably accurate. Usernames, display names, profile content and server identities may not impersonate another person or organization in a deceptive way.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of content you submit to Chirp, including messages, posts, profile and Bio text, images, files, audio, stickers, emojis, server assets, prompts and other uploads, to the extent you owned it before submitting it.
You give Chirp a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, transmit, display, resize, transcode and otherwise process that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve and provide the Services. This license ends when the content is deleted from our systems, subject to reasonable backups, legal obligations, abuse records and content that other users independently retain.
You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to upload or share content. Do not upload private, copyrighted, confidential or personal information you are not allowed to share.
4A. Chirp Bios
Chirp Bios lets you create a public page associated with your Chirp username. A Bio can include a display name, profile image, background, audio, description, links and other presentation choices you configure.
Bio pages are public by design. Information and media you place on a Bio can be viewed by anyone who has or discovers its URL, including people who are not signed in to Chirp. Do not publish information you do not want to make public.
Chirp may record basic Bio analytics such as page views, approximate unique visitors and device category to provide the Bio owner with usage statistics.
5. Chirp Chat, servers and communities
Chirp Chat can include direct messages, group chats, servers, text, voice, video, forums, threads, reactions, stickers, GIFs, soundboards, server tags, roles, moderation tools and other community features.
Server owners and moderators control their own communities within Chirp’s rules. They can set permissions, remove content, mute or ban members, configure channels and roles, and operate community-specific rules. Chirp may also moderate at the platform level.
Content posted in a server may be visible to members with permission to access that location. Direct messages are visible to their participants and may be processed for delivery, abuse prevention, safety and support. Server tags and other community identity features can identify a server outside that server when a member chooses to display them.
Voice, video and screen sharing can expose information from your device or surroundings. Only share what you intend other participants to see or hear.
6. Chirp AI
Chirp AI can generate text and perform actions using information you provide, account memory, enabled integrations and available tools. AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate or inappropriate. It is not a human and should not be treated as a guaranteed source of truth.
Do not rely on Chirp AI as the sole source for medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, emergency or other high-stakes decisions. Verify important information independently.
When an AI feature uses a third-party model or service, relevant prompts, files or context may be sent to that provider as necessary to produce the requested result. Connected-service data is used only within the permissions and scopes you authorize, subject to the Privacy Policy and the connected provider’s rules.
You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content and actions before relying on, publishing or sending them when review is reasonably possible.
7. Browse, Games and external content
Browse and Games can load, link to, embed or interact with third-party websites, games and content. Chirp does not own or control third-party services and does not guarantee that external content is accurate, safe, available or permitted by your school, employer, network or device administrator.
You must comply with applicable law, third-party terms, network rules and access controls. Do not use Chirp to gain unauthorized access, evade security protections, interfere with networks, cheat, distribute malware, or violate school or workplace rules.
Saved browsing or game activity is handled according to your settings and the Privacy Policy.
8. Chirp Remote Desktop
Chirp Remote Desktop is only for computers you own or are authorized to access. You may not use it to monitor, control or access another person’s device without permission.
Remote Desktop may process and relay desktop frames, audio, keyboard input, pointer input and session-control data to provide a remote session. Registered computers use device-specific credentials and account authentication. You are responsible for securing the host computer, your Chirp account and any information visible during a session.
Remote access can be affected by network quality, device performance, operating-system permissions and third-party software. Chirp does not promise uninterrupted access or a specific resolution, frame rate, latency or codec.

9. Connected apps and integrations
Chirp may connect to third-party services such as email, calendars, cloud files, task tools or other providers. An integration only receives the permissions you authorize through the provider’s consent flow, but those permissions can allow Chirp to read or act on data in that service.
You can disconnect supported integrations. Third-party services remain subject to their own terms, privacy policies, availability and security practices. Chirp is not responsible for changes or outages caused by a connected provider.
10. Chirps, cosmetics, server support and virtual items
Chirps are a virtual account balance used inside Chirp. Cosmetics, badges, profile effects, frames, animated text, server support, server tags and other digital items may be earned, granted, purchased with Chirps, or purchased directly for real money when offered.
Chirps and virtual items are licensed digital features, not bank deposits, securities, cryptocurrency or property with guaranteed cash value. Unless Chirp explicitly provides a transfer or redemption feature, they cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred outside the supported Chirp systems.
Server Support or Boost-style contributions are applied to the selected server and can unlock server-level or additional perks. A support contribution may award the server owner a limited Chirps reward based on the amount supported. This platform reward is not a cash donation, has no guaranteed cash value, and does not give the supporter ownership of that server.
We may rebalance prices, earning rates, cosmetic availability, server levels or virtual features as Chirp develops. We may correct balances affected by bugs, duplicate grants, fraud, chargebacks or abuse. We will not intentionally use balance corrections to take legitimately purchased value without a valid reason.
11. Paid features, purchases and subscriptions
If Chirp offers paid Chirps, cosmetics, subscriptions, Plus, Pro or other paid services, the price and billing period shown at purchase apply. Taxes may be added where required.
Recurring subscriptions renew until canceled unless the purchase screen says otherwise. Cancellation stops future renewal and normally does not retroactively refund time already provided. Refund rights required by law remain unaffected.
Payments may be processed by an external payment provider such as Stripe. The payment provider may collect billing and payment information under its own privacy policy. Chirp does not need to receive or store your full payment-card number when the processor handles it directly.
Except where law requires otherwise, delivered digital currency and digital items are generally final once delivered or consumed. If a payment succeeds but an item is not delivered, use Chirp support so the transaction can be reviewed.
Chargeback abuse, payment fraud or unauthorized purchases can result in reversal of related virtual items and account restrictions.
12. Acceptable use
You may not use Chirp to:
- break applicable law or help another person do so;
- threaten, harass, exploit, sexually exploit, stalk or seriously endanger another person;
- post non-consensual intimate content or content that sexually exploits minors;
- dox, expose or trade another person’s sensitive personal information without permission;
- distribute malware, phishing, credential theft, spam or deceptive scams;
- gain unauthorized access to accounts, devices, systems, networks or data;
- interfere with Chirp, bypass rate limits or access controls, or deliberately exploit bugs;
- use Remote Desktop on devices you are not authorized to control;
- infringe intellectual-property, privacy or publicity rights;
- use automation in a way that harms Chirp or other users;
- evade enforcement through alternate accounts or coordinated abuse.
Security research must be responsible and must not access, change, destroy or disclose another user’s data.
13. Moderation, reports and enforcement
Chirp can investigate reports, remove content, limit features, disable virtual items, restrict servers, suspend accounts or terminate access when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, respond to legal obligations, prevent fraud or protect the Services.
Server moderators can enforce additional server rules, but they cannot override platform rules. Chirp may preserve records reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, fraud, security incidents or appeals.
14. Third-party services and content
Chirp can contain links, media, APIs, integrations, games, GIF providers, identity providers, payment processors and other third-party services. Their services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Chirp is not responsible for third-party content or conduct outside Chirp’s control.
15. Chirp intellectual property
Chirp’s software, interface, branding, original graphics, product design and other materials are owned by or licensed to the Chirp operator. These Terms do not give you ownership of Chirp’s code, trademarks or other proprietary materials.
You may not copy, sell, scrape, reverse engineer or redistribute protected Chirp components except where applicable law permits it or an applicable open-source license expressly allows it.
16. Beta, experimental and unreleased features
Chirp may provide beta, test or experimental features. These features can contain bugs, lose data, change without notice, have temporary limits or be removed. Test balances, beta entitlements, badges or virtual items may be changed before public release when needed to test the product or protect the live economy.
17. Suspension, termination and deletion
You may stop using Chirp at any time. Where account-deletion tools are available, you may request deletion through them or through support.
We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations, security risks, fraud, legal requirements or behavior that materially harms Chirp or its users. Some records may remain after termination when required for security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, backups or dispute resolution.
18. Availability and disclaimers
Chirp is provided on an “as available” basis. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we do not guarantee that every feature will always be available, error-free, secure or compatible with every device, network or third-party service.
AI output, third-party content, games, external websites and community content are provided without a guarantee of accuracy. Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.
19. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, Chirp and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss caused primarily by third-party services, user content, unauthorized account access caused by your failure to secure credentials, or use of Chirp contrary to these Terms.
Where the law does not allow a limitation, the limitation applies only to the extent legally permitted. These Terms do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
20. Changes to Chirp or these Terms
We may update Chirp and these Terms as the product changes. Material changes will be communicated through Chirp or another reasonable method when required. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version.
If you continue using Chirp after revised Terms take effect, that continued use means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
